Position Overview
While the initial focus of the Polkadot UX Bounty was on establishing operations and addressing the first set of UX issues, the program is now expanding to tackle broader challenges. This includes structuring the bounty more effectively, integrating ongoing projects, and launching new ones to unify the user experience across the ecosystem.
Curators are integral to this evolution, ensuring the Bounty stays aligned with its goals and within scope. Their responsibilities include prioritizing initiatives, maintaining quality standards, and managing resource and budget allocation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Budget Management
- Approve quarterly, half-yearly or yearly budgets.
- Review and approve future budget refills through OpenGov.
- Sign multisig payout transactions.
2. Due Diligence & Quality Assurance
- Assess and prioritize projects in the UX Bounty backlog to align with ecosystem needs and strategic goals.
- Evaluate inbound project proposals for feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with UX Bounty objectives.
- Vet and choose RFP recipients to maintain high standards and quality.
- Test deliverables to ensure they meet standards and objectives.
- Provide detailed feedback to contributors to improve deliverables.
- Evaluate completed tasks and projects to confirm adherence to the defined scope and requirements.
- Refine evaluation criteria and frameworks to improve assessment processes.
- Document assessments and recommend follow-up actions as needed.
- Collaborate with Advisors throughout the process to ensure consistency and alignment.
