Position Overview
As part of the Polkadot UX Bounty, wallets play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless implementation of UX improvements across the ecosystem. Wallets are engaged on a project basis, with responsibilities spanning consulting, implementation, and maintaining alignment with the UX Bounty's projects. This structure ensures that wallets contribute effectively without being overwhelmed by excessive communication or misaligned expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Collaboration
- Participate in three key sync meetings per project:
- Pre-scope Sync: Define the scope and objectives.
- Mid-project Sync: Review progress and ensure alignment.
- End-of-project Sync: Assess deliverables and outcomes.
- Provide timelines for implementation, documented in a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for visibility.
- Consulting and Implementation
- Contribute as consultants, offering expertise during planning and scoping stages.
- Take ownership of implementation work, with clear demarcation of start dates and deliverables.
- Ensure implementation costs are included in their treasury proposals for funding requests.
- Transparency and Reporting
- Maintain precision in communication regarding project stages and implementation timelines.
- Track time spent on consulting and implementation to ensure clear accountability.
- Contribute to SSOT updates and ensure alignment with the UX Bounty's reporting standards.
- Compensation Management
- Consulting efforts will be compensated through the UX Bounty.
- Implementation costs will be managed and covered by wallets, with reimbursement requested via treasury proposals.
Time Commitment
The role does not require a fixed time commitment, offering flexibility based on project needs. Communication outside of sync meetings will primarily occur within designated groups to avoid overloading participants.
Example Breakdown:
- Sync Meetings: 3 per project (pre-scope, mid-project, end-of-project).
- Additional Communication: Handled asynchronously in designated groups.
